Sarah Ashdown, Adam's close friend from his university days in Norwich gave herself the biggest challenge in her life, to solo climb Kilimanjaro for Adam.
She donated her total marathon funds to Para-Monte, by organising many fundraising events, from cake baking, raffles and this fun run in an amazing handmade costume as well as her boyfriend Charlie's band playing in her favourite local pub in Bath, all towards her £2500 target.
Sarah raised her massive amount in order to reach her personal ambition and goal in October, when she will be climbing Kilimanjaro.
We wish her well in her quest to reach the top and thanks Sarah for raising Altitude Awareness and that massive £2500 for Adam.

The website is dedicated to Adam our son and brother, a fit healthy 25 year old young man, who lost his life to Altitude Sickness whilst travelling in Peru.
Adam’s loss should not be in vain (read his story) and we feel extremely passionate to spread the word about Altitude Illnesses globally, to ensure that people become more aware of the risks and dangers at altitude.

He later undertook numerous expeditions and was the first person to visit both the North and South Poles by surface means and the first to completely cross Antarctica on foot.
In May 2009, at the age of 65, he climbed to the summit of Mount Everest.
