Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club Ladies

Jacs Marlio, Captain of the Ladies Section at Royal Ashdown GC organised their annual Christmas get-together on Tuesday 12th December.

This entailed Christmas fancy dress and golf on a very wet and soggy course attired in Christmas jumpers, snowman, elves, reindeer and even Mrs Christmas.

Afterwards, having dried out, the ladies enjoyed hot soup, followed by mince pies. As is traditional at this time of year, the Captain, Jacs, selects her charity for her year - and this is Para-Monte. Members of the ladies’ section, were incredibly generous in their support and raised the sum of £650 in her raffle, which was a hamper, filled with festive goodies, wine, home-made cake and various other treats.

Jacs said, It was the most money raised at a Christmas get-together for many years, and a huge turnout of 48 women supporting my charity. We hope that this sum of £650  will help further Altitude Illness research at the University of Brighton and Anglia Ruskin Cambridge Universities".

The Savorys and Para-Monte trustees, would like to express their gratitude to Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club Ladies for choosing our charity, and their incredible support in raising Altitude Awareness as well as this generous Christmas donation to Para-Monte.

With 'Christmas Cheer' thanks.
